I was tagged by Amy @ ReadDreamLiveNow to do the Bookish Would You Rather Tag! Thank you Amy!
Would you rather have to read the last chapter of every new book first, or never read the last chapter?
Last chapter of every book first! Most of the books I read are character driven, so spoilers aren’t such an issue for those kinds of books. I’m also interpreting this as you have to read the last chapter first, but then you reread the last chapter again at the end, so you still get the full experience of reading the book.
Would you rather have someone ruin the ending of a book for you or never finish a book you were reading?
Isn’t this kinda the same question as the first one? Ruin the ending again.
Would you rather lose your place or get a paper cut every time you read a book?
Lose my place — I’m pretty good at finding where I was, but I’m an absolute wimp and can’t stand papercuts!
Would you rather be friends with Hermione Granger or Matilda?
Would you rather wait five years for the final installment in a series or get it now, but must read every spoiler before you can start reading it?
I don’t really read series to be honest so I would be happy to wait, but also I don’t care about spoilers for books so… I wouldn’t be mad about either really! I think once I’ve started a series I’d rather be able to finish it straight away though.
Would you rather reread your least favorite book monthly or never be able to read your favorite book again?
I don’t reread very much, so never reread my favourite book again! I only reread books that I think I will get something new from by reading it again, so that’s usually classics or more challenging books.
Would you rather read in an isolated cabin that was infested with spiders or in a noisy coffee shop with bad music?
Noisy coffee shop with bad music, I’m actually pretty used to that!
Would you rather have the ability to read minds, but never be able to read another book or live as you are now and keep reading?
Is this even a question???? Stay as I am! I don’t want to know what people are thinking! If I do, I’ll ask and hope they give an honest reply.
Would you rather read a novel based on a true story of someone you know or a fictional novel where a character is based on you?
Does saying the latter make me a narcissist? Because… the latter.
Would you rather have a book where anything you write in it becomes true or have a book that contains all the knowledge in the universe?
Definitely the latter one! I don’t think anyone should have the power to make things happen like that, but I do want to know as much as I can!
Would you rather read a great book FULL of typos or a terrible book?
Oh this one is hard. I find it really difficult to appreciate writing when it’s littered with typos and to be honest, I personally don’t think a book can be great if it’s full of typos. If a book is full of errors that to me says that the author isn’t putting pride in their work — even if an author struggles with spelling and grammar, an editor should be fixing these errors. I find that typos affect my reading experience, particularly if the typos are so bad that I have to deduce what the word should be. It takes you out the flow of the book. I think I’d go for the terrible book, because at least if it’s not got typos I can blitz through it without having to paus every few seconds!
I was tagged in the Sunshine Blogger Award like a month ago, I’m so sorry it took me so long to get round to it! I was tagged by Danni @ ForBooksSake. So, welcome to the Sunshine Blogger Tag!

Who is your favourite artist? And what is your favourite piece of art?
I love this question! I’m a van Gogh fan (as is Danni I believe), and one of my favourites by him is “Peace”, which my boyfriend’s family actually have a canvas of!
Which of your blog posts is your favourite?
I think I’m going with my comparison of GoodReads, BookSloth and TheStoryGraph!
Do you prefer movie adaptations, or TV series adaptations?
I think movie adaptations, even though I generally speaking prefer to watch TV shows to films.
What do you find to be the hardest aspect of blogging?
Thinking of post ideas that aren’t reviews! I’ve been struggling to think of lifestyle posts to write recently.
What is your favourite song of all time?
This answer does change a lot, but at the minute it’s Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift. Or maybe it’s I Go Crazy by Orla Gartland. There’s too many!
Series or standalone?
Other than reading and blogging, what other hobbies do you have?
Baking is one, and I also enjoy gaming and watching TV, specifically reality competitions like Bake Off.
What was your favourite book as a child?
I don’t know that I had a favourite book, but one of my favourite series was The Five Find Outers and Dog by Enid Blyton.
Why did you decide to start your blog?
I started it years ago because my best friend had one, and then it got abandoned for a long time, and I’ve been trying to revive it for the last two years, but the last few months is the only time I’ve stuck with it. I came back to it this time partly because it’s something I’ve been trying to do for ages, and partly because I sensed that with COVID-19 happening, I was going to have a lot of time to fill.
What is a book or series that you feel is overrated?
So many, to be honest. Harry Potter for sure. I know now we all hate JK Rowling, but I also feel like her books show her prejudices.
Who are your top 5 favourite authors?
(I have previously received PR products from Picador, Burton’s publisher) Jessie Burton
